WARRANTY AND RETURNS
Warranty
All car batteries sold by AuzBatteries are covered by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty for the stated warranty period.
What Is Covered
The warranty covers genuine manufacturing defects and battery faults that occur under normal and correct use, including:
-
Battery failure caused by a manufacturing defect.
-
Internal battery faults that are confirmed to be covered by the manufacturer.
-
Premature battery failure under normal operating conditions.
-
Other defects specifically covered by the battery manufacturer’s warranty.
Before an exchange or warranty replacement is approved, the battery may need to be tested and inspected by AuzBatteries or the manufacturer to determine the cause of the failure.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:
-
Incorrect installation or incorrect battery application.
-
Using a battery that is unsuitable for the vehicle.
-
Overcharging, undercharging, or faults with the vehicle's charging system.
-
Faulty alternators, starters, electrical systems, or parasitic electrical drains.
-
Physical damage, cracked or damaged casing, leaking, swelling, or broken terminals caused by misuse.
-
Deep discharge or leaving the battery completely discharged for an extended period.
-
Incorrect storage, neglect, abuse, or modification.
-
Damage caused during removal, installation, transportation, or return due to inadequate packaging.
-
Normal wear and tear or reduced performance resulting from improper use or maintenance.
Important
A battery warranty covers the battery itself, not problems with the vehicle's electrical or charging system. If a battery repeatedly goes flat, we strongly recommend having the vehicle's alternator, starter, charging system, and electrical drain tested before replacing the battery.
All warranty claims are assessed fairly and in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty terms and applicable Australian Consumer Law.
Return Policy
All returned items must be received in the same condition as when they were originally delivered. The return must include all original components, accessories, packaging, and any other items supplied with the purchase.
If a returned item has been used, damaged, is missing components or accessories, or sustains damage during return shipping due to inadequate packaging, the seller reserves the right to deduct an appropriate amount from the buyer’s refund to account for any reduction in the item’s value.
Return Shipping Costs:
Unless otherwise required by Australian Consumer Law or agreed to by AuzBatteries, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the battery, including any shipping, freight, delivery, or transportation costs associated with returning the battery for inspection or exchange.
If the warranty claim is approved, AuzBatteries may arrange or reimburse reasonable return or replacement shipping costs where applicable.
Customers are responsible for ensuring the battery is securely and safely packaged when returning it. Any damage caused during return transportation due to inadequate packaging may affect the warranty claim or refund amount.
